NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker
has expanded its midrange smartphone range in the country with the launch of its latest Y series smartphone in India. The smartphone comes with a super wide-angle quad-camera setup and 5,000 mAh battery. The last Y-series smartphone, Y11, launched in India in December 2019 at Rs 8,990.
Price and availability
is priced at Rs 17,990. The smartphone comes in Starry Black, Iris Blue, Pearl White colour options. Y50 smartphone will be available on Vivo India e-store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tata CLiQ, and across all offline retail partner stores.
Vivo Y50 specifications
Vivo Y50 runs Android and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. The device packs 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.
The new Vivo smartphone features a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a 1080p resolution. The smartphone consists of an Ultra O screen which means it has a single punch hole for selfie camera placed on the left side of the screen.
Coming to the camera, the Vivo Y50 sports a quad-camera setup which comprises 13MP primary shooter, 8MP wide-angle lens shooter, 2MP portrait shooter, and 2MP macro shooter. The front is home to punch-hole 16MP selfie camera with Super Night feature.
The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with fast-charging support. In terms of connectivity the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
Recently, Vivo launched the Y70s smartphone in China. It is the first smartphone to be powered by Samsung’s octa-core Exynos 880 processor. The device packs 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. It comes with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with a 1080x2340 pixel resolution. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system topped with the company’s own FunTouch OS 10.
