NEW DELHI: Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party patron
Ram Vilas Paswan
passed away on Thursday.
The Union minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution had undergone a heart surgery recently and had been hospitalised for the last few weeks.
The news about the Union minister's death was tweeted by his son, Chirag Paswan, who has taken over the mantle of the Lok Janshakti Party.

Ram Vilas Paswan (74), had been in active politics for more than five decades and was one of the country's most noted Dalit leaders.
