has a new feature for students. They can now apply for their national scholarship via the Umang app. The service can be availed by simply searching
National Scholarship Portal
in the app’s search bar.
Availability of this new service via Umang app was revealed by the official handle of Umang App India via an announcement on Twitter. “Worried about scholarships? Fret not!...Now you can apply for your scholarships from UMANG app with ease. Download #UMANG, and search for National Scholarship Portal. Apply for a new scholarship or renew your existing one easily on the #UMANGApp. Download today!,” reads the tweet.

As the tweet says, students will be able to apply for fresh/new scholarships via the app. They can renew their existing scholarship as well.
For those unaware, Umang app is the citizen’s go-to app for many government related services. The app was first launched in 2017 and offers more than 600 citizen centric services currently. Users can access e-governance services from both central and state governments as well as local civic bodies. The services are categorised into three: All, Central and State.
Recently, the government added an important service to the app in order to help those preparing for government exams. The
aspirants can use the Umang app to get all the information related to exams, results, and vacancies. To access the information related to SSC exams, one needs to simply type SSC in the search bar of the Umang app. This will fetch multiple results related to exam dates, vacancies, pending results, and more.
