South Korean consumer electronics giant
is expected to launch new smartphones in the Galaxy Note series. Even though there is no expected launch date till now, rumours have suggested that the launch event could take place on August 5.
According to a report by a South Korean news portal Dong-A Ilbo, which cites Samsung Electronics staff member, the company is planning for a launch event on August 5 where it plans to unveil the
Galaxy Note 20
series as well as the Galaxy Fold 2 phone.
Given the circumstances, the event is expected to be a virtual event only.
Tipster Ice Universe, who has had a track record of providing genuine leaks has also claimed on Twitter that the launch date of the next Galaxy smartphone is August 5.

At this point, some information has been reported about both the
Galaxy Note 20 series
as well as the next foldable phone from the South Korean tech giant.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20
Ultra. Last week, alleged images of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphone were spotted on Samsung Russia’s website, however, they were later taken down. The images showed that this particle model will come with a triple rear camera setup placed in a vertically aligned setup.
Separately, the appearance of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G was also seen with a complete 360-degree view. Online reports have suggested that this handset will offer a 256GB internal storage and be backed by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor.
Apart from these phones, the company is also expected to expand its wearable lineup with the launch of the Galaxy Watch 3, the support pages for which have already gone live on Samsung India’s website.
