NEW DELHI: It is expected that the
Galaxy Unpacked event may take place on August 5, where the company will launch the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2, and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G variant at the event.
Now a new leak has further confirmed that Samsung will launch the 5G variant of its Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone at the event. Leakster Jon Posser has revealed that the company will launch the
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G
variant in Black and White colours. On the other hand, a report by XDA developers also confirms the same thing. XDA Developers report says that Samsung has started software development for a Galaxy smartphone with the model name “SM-F707B”.
Since the original Galaxy Z Flip comes with the model number “SM-F700”, it is expected that “SM-F707B” is the product name for the 5G variant of the smartphone.
The interesting thing to note here is that the present Galaxy Z Flip is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and it only has LTE support. So, it’s not clear whether Samsung will upgrade the processor or it will make room for a 5G modem and antennas in the same chipset. Some earlier leaks also revealed that the 5G variant of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will come with 256GB as the base storage variant. It is also expected that the company might also introduce a new brown colour.
Recently, Samsung announced that it will launch the Galaxy A21 smartphone in India on June 17. The smartphone come with a 6.5-inch HD+ display of 720x1600 pixels resolution and is powered by an octa-core processor. The smartphone packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD card. Running on Android 10 operating system with Samsung’s own One UI,
the Samsung Galaxy A21s
is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
