September 4, 2020 marks the 68th birth anniversary of celebrated veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who passed away earlier this year from leukaemia. To honour the milestone, Kapoor's daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, took to her Instagram account to express her emotions in a heartfelt post which included several sweet photographs of her parents. The letter, which is bound to strike a chord with children who have lost parents, began with, "Papa, they say when you lose someone, you can't live without - your heart will badly break! But I know you are living in this broken heart and will be there forever!"
In her birthday note for Rishi Kapoor, Kapoor Sahni also went on to express her gratitude towards her father, thanking him for passing on important virtues to her. “I know you are watching over all of us and ensuring that we live by the value system you instilled in us! You gave me the gift of compassion - taught me the value of relationships and made me the person I am today! I miss you each day and will always love you! Celebrating you today & always - Happy Birthday,” the note read.
Shared just as the clock struck twelve on Kapoor's birth anniversary, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni's post has been received with lots of love from close family members and friends including Manish Malhotra, Shamita Shetty, and cousin Karisma Kapoor. Kapoor Sahni's little Instagram album includes several unforgettable memories with her father, and also features some never-seen-before pictures of herself as a toddler with Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. More recent snapshots in the collection also show the late icon enjoying time with his only grandchild, Samara Sahni.
This isn't the first time Kapoor Sahni has shared a heartfelt social media post for her father. The jewellery designer wrote her first open letter to Kapoor shortly after he passed away in April 2020. “Papa I love you I will always love you - RIP my strongest warrior I will miss you everyday I will miss your FaceTime calls everyday! I wish I could be there to say goodbye to you ! Until we meet again papa I love you - your Mushk forever,” the post said. Also read:
