NEW DELHI: Xaiomi's Redmi brand has started rolling out an Android 10 update for its
Redmi 8A Dual
smartphone in India. The Redmi 8A Dual was launched with Android 9.0 Pie operating system topped with the company's own layer of MIUI 11. The smartphone maker has now started rolling out an Android 10 update based on MIUI 12 for the Redmi 8A Dual.
The update comes with the build number MIUI V184.108.40.206.QCQINXM and it is rolling out in a phased manner. After this update, the smartphone will get both Android 10 and MIUI 12 features. Before installing the update users must make sure that their device is 80% charged.
Redmi 8A Dual comes in three variants -- 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage priced at Rs 7,499, Rs 8,299 and Rs 8,999 respectively. Customers can purchase the smartphone via Amazon.in and Mi.com.
For those unaware, Redmi 8A Dual features a 6.22-inch HD+ IPS display. The dot notch screen is protected with a coating of scratch-resistant glass. The smartphone runs Android operating systems and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Redmi 8A Dual comes with a dual rear camera which comprises a 13MP primary sensor with a 2MP depth sensor. The device comes with triple card slots. This means users can use two SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time. Both the SIM cards also support 4G VoLTE.
On the front you will get an 8MP shooter for selfies. The smartphone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. In terms of connectivity, the Xiaomi Redmi 8A dual offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB Type C.
