Tencent Games recently added an upgraded version of the classic Erangel map in the Chinese beta version of Game For Peace (or Peacekeeper Elite), as per a report by GizChina. This could be the test stage of what is believed to be the Erangel 2.0 map and since it is in beta only, the global update may take some time to arrive in PUBG Mobile.
The new elements in the map include a new routing planner that lets you plan your route before you start with your journey. According to the report, players would be able to mark the waypoints in the map and then jump into a new game. Secondly, the upgraded Erangel map is expected to have better graphics, with the buildings and the other structures getting a more refined and detailed look. The improvements in the graphics may include the “ interiors of the house to the outlook of the houses”, plus “towers and multiple structures” too, says the report.
Also, with the new graphics overhaul, the Ultra-HD option, that has been showing disabled ever since PUBG Mobile arrived, may also get the enable option for high-end and flagship smartphones, says the report.
