Pak makes another attempt to expedite opening of Kartarpur Sahib corridor

AMRITSAR: Despite Indian government rejecting Islamabad’s unilateral proposal of opening Kartapur Sahib corridor, the Pakistan government on June 28 deliberately circulated a video of head granthi of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib.
In a 1.30 minute video, Giani Gobind Singh, head granthi of Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, is heard thanking the Pakistan government for taking the decision to open the gurdwara for sangat .
"Sikhs living around the world are happy with Pakistan government’s decision of re opening of gurdwara so that they could visit her for ‘khulae darshan deedar’ (easy access) of the holy place and fulfill their religious aspirations."
According to media reports from Pakistan, a total of 74,202 coronavirus cases have been reported from Pakistan’s Punjab with 1673 fatalities.
Indian had earlier rejected Islamabad’s proposal of opening of Gurdwara Darabr Sahib, Kartapur Sahib, situated just four and half kilometers from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur district of Indian Punjab.
India had reasoned that as par agreement between two nations both countries had to share information about travelers at least seven days before the date of traveling, besides the need to consult with health authorities and other stakeholders to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
