Smartphone brand Oppo has expanded its budget series of smartphones in India with the launch of
. The smartphone comes with a 6.22-inch waterdrop display and is powered by a MediaTek processor.
Price and availability
The handset is priced at Rs 9,990 for the base variant of 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Oppo A12’s 4GB RAM model, on the other hand, is priced at Rs 11,490. The smartphone will be available from June 10 onwards via online as well as offline stores across the country.
The company has announced a cashback of 5% on the device’s purchase as a launch offer. The cashback can be availed on EMI purchases by Bank of Baroda credit card holders and Federal bank debit cardholders. No-cost EMI will also be available along with standard EMI purchase options. Oppo is also giving six months of extended warranty on purchases of Oppo A12 made before June 21.
Oppo A12 specifications
Oppo A12 is powered by MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor. The handset comes with a 6.22-inch waterdrop screen with 1520x720 pixel resolution. The display offers 89% screen-to-body ratio and has an aspect ratio of 19:9. It comes with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The handset is equipped with a 3D Diamond Blaze design on the back.
As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone has a 5MP lens at the front with Soloop smart video editor. On the rear side is the 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. The device is said to support up to 6x digital zoom.
Oppo A12 is a dual-SIM phone featuring a 2+1 card slot. It houses a 4230mAh battery and comes in two colour options- Blue and Black. The smartphone offers face unlock technology along with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
