NEW DELHI: Chinese smartphone maker
launched its 55-inch 4K TV in India last year in September. The company is now gearing up for the launch of another TV.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that the company will launch a new TV in India on July 2. He made this announcement via a tweet. Pete tweeted, “We’re making our premium smart TV experience more accessible to our Indian community #SmarterTV”. This also confirms that this time the company will launch a cheaper TV. The
, launched last year, came at a starting price of Rs 69,900.
The company also shared a teaser of the upcoming launch which hints about the price of the device. This time the company will launch the TV under Rs 20,000. The company has also confirmed that the TV will be available online on the Amazon India website.
OnePlus will be launching two series of television in the country. The company said, “The new OnePlus smart TVs are targeted to bring a premium experience across different screen sizes to the mid-range as well as the entry-level Smart TV segments in India.”
It is also said that the new series from OnePlus will come with a premium design and will offer a seamless connected experience to users.
Recently, OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro will get Android 11 first Beta soon. Other Chinese smartphone makers Oppo and Xiaomi have also announced that their flagship smartphones will get Android 11 1 beta updates. Google quietly released the first Android 11 Beta earlier this week. The company claims that the first beta version of Android 11 focuses on three things -- Controls, Privacy, and People. The company also adds that it is the first beta so it could also be buggy.
