CEO Pete Lau has shared a glimpse of the upcoming
smartphone. The next flagship OnePlus would be launched on October 14. Lau has shared a small video highlighting the rear of the device. “On the OnePlus 8 Pro, we crafted our fifth-generation matte glass cover to offer a silky-smooth texture. This time, we shifted our attention to the glossy glass back to bring you something new,” wrote Lau in the official OnePlus forum.
OnePlus will be introducing a new “Aquamarine Green” version with the OnePlus 8T. “After exploring countless iterations with different CMFs (color, material and finish) for more than 4 months, we achieved a breakthrough and produced a remarkable glossy back cover for the new Aquamarine Green variant of the OnePlus 8T,” he added.
OnePlus will also launch its second truly wireless earbuds with IP-55 rating along with the OnePlus 8T on the same day. As per tipsters, the name of the upcoming wireless earbuds from OnePlus will be called OnePlus Buds Z and they are expected to be cheaper than the ones that it launched before.
According to rumours, the OnePlus 8T is said to sport a 6.55-inch full HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is expected to be powered by a 2.8Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 856 processor with Adreno 659 GPU. The smartphone is said to come in two varinats -- 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
OnePlus 8T is said to run Android 10 operating system topped with the company's own OxygenOS 11. The smartphone is expected to offer dual SIM support and sport a quad-rear camera setup. The rear of the device is expected to house a 48MP main sensor, 16MP 116° ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture, 5MP macro camera, 2MP depth sensor. The handset is said to come with a 32MP selfie shooter.
