have an unexpected challenger in the gaming segment and it’s not Nintendo or Google. As befuddling as it may sound, it’s KFC, the American fast-food restaurant chain. In all seriousness, KFC is planning to unveil a gaming console of its own, if we go by a tweet. The fast-food chain has a Twitter account with the name of
and it recently tweeted about the upcoming product. The console is called the

As per the short clip attached with the tweet, the device would have cross-platform capability and support for 4K and 120FPS. The video shows a power button and a disc drive. It is shaped like a big chicken bucket and for those who are getting ideas now, yes, it carries an inbuilt chamber that is meant to heat the chicken while you are getting ready for a mid-game snack. The weird device has even got a confirmed launch date which is November 12, 2020. See for yourself.

How serious is this going to be? Is this even a legit gaming console? The video clip tries to assure the viewer but we are far from being taken for a ride. The device could just be an electric one with a console-themed design, an electric chamber that can heat the chicken. Just that. A power button could be for switching any electrical device on and a disc drive could be just a dummy.
This won’t be the first time KFC is venturing in the field of ‘tech’. In 2017, the fast-food chain launched a smartphone in partnership with Huawei. Only 5,000 KFC ‘phones’ were made and were only released in China. KFC also had another limited-edition tech product when in 2018 it started selling a chicken wings box that came with a DIY drone kit. We will have to wait and see what lies in store for the gaming console.
