(Jio) along with latter's wholly-owned subsidiary Radisys Corporation have announced developing an open and interoperable interface compliant architecture-based
solutions with a virtualized RAN. The aim is to fast track the development and roll out of indigenous 5G network infrastructure and services in India.
also announced that they achieved over a 1Gbps milestone on the Jio 5GNR solution, using Qualcomm 5G RAN Platforms. This marks the entry of Jio and India into the Gigabit 5G NR product portfolio.

With disaggregated and virtualized 5GNR solutions, Jio claims to be advancing the ecosystem of carrier-grade software-based RAN solutions that are designed to enable 5G services and experiences for all of India and beyond.
