Here’s when Xbox Series X is going to launch

announced via a blog post. The post begins with Microsoft’s plans to launch

Halo Infinite

, which has been postponed to 2021. Microsoft and 343 Industries, the makers of Halo, need “some more time to finish the critical work necessary to launch Halo Infinite”, says the post.
“There will be thousands of games to play, spanning four generations, when Xbox Series X launches globally this November and over 100 optimized for Xbox Series X titles, built to take full advantage of our most powerful console, are planned for this year”, adds the Xbox Wire blog post.
According to the blog post, there are over 50 games planned and optimised for the Xbox Series X, some of the big names being Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, The Coalition’s Gears Tactics from the Gears of War franchise, Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs: Legion and Codemasters’ racing game Dirt 5. To play these games across generations of Xbox console, customers need to buy these games only once via Smart Delivery. Also, popular games like Destiny 2, Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, Madden NFL 21 and more will also be optimised for the next generation console. There are several upcoming Xbox-exclusive games too like The Medium, Scorn, Tetris Effect: Connected etc.
Microsoft’s game streaming service,

Project xCloud

, will also see the official rollout on September 15 on Android platform across 22 countries and is set to bring 36 titles to mobiles. Some of them are Ark: Survival Evolved, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Gears 5 Ultimate Edition, Forza Horizon 4, Ryse: Son of Rome, Sea of Thieves: Anniversary Edition and more.
