NEW DELHI: Tech giant

Google

has announced that it is adding

Voice Match

and default features to all Google Assistant-compatible devices. “As part of that continued effort to support an open ecosystem and bring

Google Assistant

features to everyone globally, we’re rolling out some important updates this week to your devices”, the company said in a blog post.
The company claims that with Voice Match you can teach Google Assistant to recognize your voice so you can receive personalized results, including calendar reminders or traffic to work, even if you share the device with other people in the household. You’ll be able to link up to six people’s voices with Voice Match to a single speaker or Smart Display, so the entire family can get personalized help from Google.
Along with this, the company will also expand the hot word sensitivity. The company has introduced a new setting in the Google Home app which will enable you to adjust the responsiveness of the Google Assistant hot word “Hey Google” on your smart speakers and Smart Displays.
Recently, Google announced that it has started showing Covid-19 testing centres on three of its platforms — Google Search, Assistant, and Maps — in India. The company took to Twitter to make this announcement. Google India tweeted, “Working closely with @ICMRDELHI & @mygovindia, Google Maps, Google Assistant and Search are now beginning to surface testing centres in Hindi, English & 7 regional languages. Before going to a testing centre, call the Govt. of India helpline - 1075 & get a doctor’s prescription.
