NEW DELHI: Along with the
Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G, Google also launched its latest smart speaker Nest Audio at its online Launch Night event. The
Google Nest Audio
comes in Sage, Sand, Sky, Chalk and Charcoal colour options and it is priced at $99.99 (Rs 7358). Google has not yet revealed the price and availability details of the device. However, Google has confirmed that Nest Audio will be available online on
and offline on retail outlets starting this month.
Google Nest Audio comes with a slimer form factor as compared to the Google Home. The company claims that the smart speaker can offer 50 percent stronger bass and is 75 percent louder in comparison to Google Home. The Nest Audio has 19mm tweeter and 75mm mid-woofer which the company has squeezed inside the enclosure made of 70 percent recycled plastic.
The tech giant also adds that it has optimized the grill, fabric and materials for a better and distortion free audio. The smart speaker comes with a custom designed tweeter which allows each musical detail to come through. The device also comes with a Media EQ feature which allows the smart speaker to automatically tune itself to whatever a user is listening.
The company has also incorporated three far-field microphones with a physical microphone mure switch and just like the original Google Home. The device also offers touch controls which can be used to adjust the volume.
The Google Nest Audio is powered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Cortex A53 processor and High-performance ML hardware engine. In terms of connectivity the device offers dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and it also has in-built Chromecast.
