Just last month, a report by Strategy Analytics revealed that in the first quarter of 2020, Google ranked at the second position in the global smart speakers market by capturing 19.3%. The company witnessed a growth as it had a 17.9% in Q1 2019.
The market, however, was led by Jeff Bezos-led Amazon that emerged as the market leader with a 23.5% share, up from 21.5% in the same period a year ago.
Overall, the global smart speakers market sales crossed 28.2 million units in the first quarter of 2020, according to the report, which is 8.2% higher than the sale in Q1 2019.
