A warm, nostalgic, yet upbeat film by H&M India captures the end-of-year spirit in just 70 seconds. While it immediately makes you think of all the people that cannot wait to see, there is a hopeful energy in the narrative brought together by some of television and film’s brightest young stars. While Vikrant Massey and Tamannah Bhatia remind you of all the Zoom dates you’ve been on, Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur make you want to hug your best friends, and as Radhika Madan and Karan Tacker fill your heart with excitement, there’s an undeniable spark brought by the clothes they have on.

Intimacy and joy were certainly on the moodboard of H&M India’s new exclusive line for the festive season. Keeping in mind the settings of house parties and small gatherings in the upcoming months, the line is boldly embellished with party-favourite details, yet restrained in silhouettes and colour palette. A fitted dress with watercolour-like flowers covered in sequins that Dhulipala wears can easily fit in daytime summer as it would at a cards party. There’s lots more of all-sequin dresses, glitter-covered tops, pants, co-ord sets, as well as fringe, ruffles and tiered tulle thrown into the mix. The fitted, calf-length skirt in velour or the crinkle velour dress in purple were designed keeping in mind versatility and multi-season functionality. In shades of blush pink, lilac, silver touches and monochrome basics, the womenswear line packs the party mood in its accessories offerings. Soft gold pouches, rhinestone-studded fringe belts, phone bags, embellished earrings and metallic sandals would be ideal to dial up the drama.

Paisley and mosaic-inspired printed shirts, along with blazers and trousers in bold colour options dominate the menswear line, while the kidswear offering has a little bit of both, shine and wearability.
