. The call later turned out to be a hoax. Police have begun a hunt to trace the caller.
Around 10:30am, the staff manning the ambulance control centre received a call in which a man claimed bombs had been planted at Rajinikanth’s residence. Security personnel rushed to the house, but the actor’s family refused to let them in. Later, only one team member was let in. An officer quoted Rajinikanth as telling police that a lot of prank calls had been made to his house.
