Health officials are set to provide an update on British Columbia’s response to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

On Friday, the province announced just one new case of COVID-19 in B.C in a 24-hour period.

Health officials also confirmed a single death at the Langley Lodge, a long-term care home in the grips of one of the province’s worst outbreaks.

The number of active cases stood at 194 on Friday. Twenty-one patients were in hospital, five of them in intensive care.
