soon after its launch. Asus has already started rolling out a

new software update

for its recently launched Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro smartphones.
The new software update comes with version number 29.12.18.10 and it brings several new improvements to the camera and DC dimming. In addition to that, the update also brings group alarm and dual-band Wi-Fi features to both the smartphones. Here’s the complete list of changes coming to the phones with the latest update.

Improved System/touch freeze problem.
Fixed the occasional system restart issue.
Improve occasional DC dimming flicker and screen brightness adjustment.
Enabled Google Lens on Asus Camera.
Improved the photo quality of Camera night mode
Improved the performance for camera noise
Added group alarm feature.
Added Dual-band Wi-Fi network feature.
Allowed to mute a single app when multiple foreground apps make sounds.
Asus has confirmed that the new update is a service side push and is being rolled out in batches and it might take a few days to reach all the units. Users will usually be notified via FOTA notice. They can also check the update manually by heading over to the Settings.
