This loophole was discovered by Wish Wu of Ant Financial's Light-Year Security Lab, the document mentioned. Wish Wu also made it to headlines in 2019 when he reportedly was able to beat Face ID using printed black and white images.

While the company continues to support older iPhone models, few of the features in the new update are only limited to selected iPhones only.
