has partnered with Verizon to launch video conferencing solutions for enterprises in India. Dubbed as
, the new video conferencing platform takes on
. This service will be available to only enterprise users in the countries and not individuals, at least initially. For those unaware, BlueJeans is Verizon’s video conferencing service which can be accessed across mobile, desktop, browser and conference room.
Airtel claims a cloud point of presence in India enabling low latency and improved quality of service for India-based customers. The technology will be fully integrated with Airtel’s network, including its data centers. Airtel BlueJeans will offer an integrated audio solution and users will have convenient dial-in options to join the meetings.
The partnership includes services like BlueJeans Meetings, BlueJeans Events, BlueJeans Rooms and the BlueJeans Gateway for Microsoft Teams.

As far as security features are concerned, BlueJeans offers meeting lock, secure transmission and storage, randomised meeting IDs, participant passcodes and fraud detection among others.
“The platform uses open, proven standards for security as well as the WebRTC and HTML5 standards for browser-based access, enabling users to participate in meetings and events without requiring software downloads,” it said in a statement.
Airtel BlueJeans works with Microsoft Teams, Workplace by Facebook, Office 365, Google Calendar, Slack, Splunk, Trello and others. There is a smart meetings feature as well which captures the most important discussion points and creates a highlight reels. Airtel claims Dolby Voice and HD video resolution.
