SRINAGAR: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday registered another
against J&K Bank’s former chairman Parvez Negroo. While the earlier case against Negroo was filed in June last year in connection with backdoor appointments of 1,200 people, the current one relates to awarding of tenders without following laid-down norms.
Other accused in the current case are former executive president of the bank Surjeet Singh Sehgal and the bank’s assistant vice president
and Rishabh Vora of M/s SILA Solutions Pvt Ltd, a company operating from Altamont Road in Mumbai.
According to an ACB spokesman, the accused officials of J&K Bank had in 2018 awarded tenders for housekeeping of offsite ATMs to SILA Solutions without following tendering norms and that led to around Rs 6.3-crore loss to the bank. The pan-India tenders were invited in 2015 and awarded to SILA Solutions after Negroo took over.
