When actor Cole Sprouse invites you over—even if you're there to ask him 73 questions—he greets you with homemade finger food, heavy on the tomatoes and garlic. ("Your breath's going to stink, but I guarantee you'll love it.") The 28-year-old Riverdale star recently welcomed Vogue into his temporary Vancouver home, a hotel accommodation that is officially termed the "Chairman's Suite," and where managed to answer a barrage of queries—all while cooking homemade carbonara, heavy on the Pecorino and guanciale.

Clad in a jaunty red neckerchief, Sprouse is more than willing to discuss his past life as a child star: "It's a very competitive arena...my direct competition was my identical twin brother, but we were eating at the same table, so...same team." Sprouse admits to occasionally rewatching old episodes of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, but "only when I'm drunk, or feeling really narcissistic." If he could go back in time, he'd tell his younger self to "get a good financial advisor and don't do your own taxes, kid," but you'll have to be an IRS official to pry that story out of him.

Sprouse is "obsessed" with travel, and recommends traveling alone in particular, which he credits with expanding his palate. (Yes, he's eaten bugs, and yes, he liked it.) Despite all his globe-trotting, he has a fondness for the small things—namely, his extensive comic book and graphic novel collection—and even devoted fans might not know that he worked in archaeology after graduating from school. In order to preserve his mental health, a topic that he's long been open about, Sprouse makes sure to journal every day and "stay off the internet"—good advice for us all, honestly.
