Over the years,

WhatsApp

has easily become the most commonly used platform where people interact. The Facebook-owned app has become quite a basic tool for communication not just because it is an instant messaging platform, but also because it allows users to share with one another files beyond a simple text message.
However, due to the sheer quantity of the files exchanged, it may become difficult for anyone to look for something particular on the app, however, WhatsApp allows users to search for them easily. Here we tell you six things that the app will let you search and locate:
Photos
Tapping on Photos will show all the pictures that have been exchanged on WhatsApp (both sent and received) in a reverse chronological order. You will have the option to view them in a Grid form as well as along with the captions with which they were shared.
GIFs
If you want to look for a particular GIF that you liked, you can look for it simply by tapping on the GIF option. This will show all the GIFs that you have sent as well as received on the app. They too are visible in the order of recency and appear in both Grid view as well as along with the captions.
Links
Often a times you may have sent a link to a person to look at something on a web but later on could not find it yourself. Thankfully, you have the option to look for it on their WhatsApp chat. For links, however, you can only see the caption view.
Videos
Just as it was in case of Photos, videos too appear in both grid and caption view. You will be able to see videos that you have sent as well as received here.
Documents
Same as it was in the case of links, you can only see the caption view of documents.
Audio
All the voice notes you ever sent and received can be found in this section.
