4.4 Magnitude Earthquake Near Gujarat's Rajkot, 2nd In Less Than 24 Hours
A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Rajkot in Gujarat this afternoon. This was the second quake to hit the city in less than 24 hours.
The epicentre of the earthquake - reported around 12:57 pm - was about 82 km northwest of Rajkot, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
Last night, the city experienced a 5.5 magnitude quake at around 8:13 pm, said the NCS, the government's nodal agency for monitoring seismic activity in the country.
