Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and husband Anand Ahuja are back in London, and seem to be working from their residence, much like the rest of the world. The couple, who are currently self-isolating at their snug Notting Hill home, recently celebrated Anand Ahjua’s 35th birthday with an outdoor picnic, complete with an Instagram-worthy setting. Kapoor Ahuja’s spread proved what many already know: the star has a great eye for aesthetics, be it with fashion or decor. It comes as no surprise, then, that the residence the Bollywood star shared with Bhaane's founder is full of picture-perfect corners. Below, we take you through some of the must-see spaces within their London home.Take a look inside Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja’s living room
A favourite for get-togethers with friends and family, the couple’s living room is all about warmth with its velvet couches and rich forest green interiors. While one section of the walls here features a soothing cream-coloured wallpaper patterned with nature-inspired designs, the dark green panelling on the bottom half of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja’s living room walls perfectly complements this room’s dark interiors. Bathed in the warm glow of a chandelier that hangs in the middle of the space, the living room is the perfect spot for the couple to entertain an intimate group of people, or even just read a book as it snows outside.
Not unlike her Mumbai home, Kapoor Ahuja's London residence also features lots of regal elements that add an old-world charm to her home, like the intricately carved silver frames arranged on tables around the living room. The wooden flooring here, accentuated with a beautiful Persian rug, along with a matching console, complete this cosy area. Last year, the couple celebrated Christmas with their family here too, with their deep red sofa and decorative fireplace creating the perfect backdrop for the holiday. A sparkling Christmas tree sat beside the Ahujas’ big windows and television set.Remember when Sonam Kapoor Ahuja took us inside her bedroom with this special video for Anand Ahuja?
The vibe of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja’s bedroom seems like an extension of their living room, focusing on outdoorsy, earthy elements, but in lighter colours. A comfy bed with a wood and rattan-detailed headboard rests against a wall patterned with motifs of leaves and trees here, and photographs of friends and family can be seen displayed on wooden shelves adorned with flowers. A large artwork mounted on the wall next to the bed completes the space.Step into Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s charming dining area
Facing a bold yellow wall featuring statement art pieces and a large window, the dining room is a delight for small gatherings, as proven by Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja's festive Christmas feast last year. The rectangular dining table fits comfortably in the room, and is accompanied by a side table housing silverware. Complementing the artworks here are the pieces that complete the Ahujas’ table setting. In the picture above, you’ll notice that the bold red flowers in the middle of the dining table perfectly match the shades of red in the painting depicting monks near their window.Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s London home is full of gorgeous corners for photoshoots
With photoshoots being an everyday reality for Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, it makes sense that her house is replete with beautiful backdrops that work well for shoots and OOTD snapshots. The yellow wall by the dining room, of course, makes for a strong background. Another beloved spot for impromptu shoots is a corner in the living room by the TV, which sits right next to a window that brings in lots of natural light. The actor’s intricately detailed wallpaper, depicting foliage and exotic birds forms an exquisite background for photographs.Want to see more corners of Sonam Kapoor Ahuja’s London home?
